Behind every farming-season statistic is a producer dealing with finance, inputs, transport and markets. Serious discussion therefore begins in the field.

A season cannot be assessed by planted area alone. Fuel costs, seed availability, financing schedules, road conditions and final sale prices determine whether production becomes a stable income or a new burden. Guest of the Issue therefore places producers’ questions at the centre of the debate.

Questions that guide the conversation

Where is the gap between plans and implementation? How do services reach small producers? What difference could local storage and processing make? These questions will guide coming conversations with farmers, experts and officials, with an emphasis on evidence and trackable solutions.

More than a one-off interview

Guest of the Issue uses personal experience to understand a public question rather than merely celebrate a name. Stories will be updated when new data or responses become available so the conversation remains connected to realities on the ground.
